BabySteps – how to delete your account and your data

Option 1: in the app (recommended)

1. Open BabySteps and sign in.
2. Tap “More” at the bottom.
3. Choose “Delete account” and confirm.

This account’s data is removed from your device immediately. If you want to keep your memories, export them as a PDF first (with Premium or during the grace period).

After a 30-day period, your account and all cloud data are permanently deleted, usually by the following day at the latest. Until then, you can cancel the deletion by signing in again.

Option 2: by email (also without the app)

Send an email to schokorygroup@gmail.com with the subject “Delete account”, or use the contact form. Please write from the email address your account uses.

If you signed in with Apple and chose “Hide My Email”, please give us the relay address. You find it in your Apple ID settings under “Sign in with Apple”.

We will confirm the deletion by email.

What is deleted

• your account (email address, sign-in data, display name);
• all your children with all entries, notes and photos in the cloud;
• your invitation codes and purchase links;
• if you signed in with Apple, the link to your Apple ID (revoked with Apple).

For children that someone else shared with you, only your access ends. Their data belongs to the other account. If you shared a child yourself, the invited person keeps access until the final deletion.

What is not deleted immediately, or not at all

• Deleted photos can be restored from Google’s storage for up to 7 days as a technical backup. After that they are permanently deleted.
• Server logs are usually deleted automatically after 30 days.
• A pseudonymous checksum (account marker) is kept for 3 years. It lets your subscription be assigned to a new account.
• Data that never belonged to an account you delete on your device yourself: “More” → “Delete all local data”, or remove the app.
